  3. PHMIG Goal 1 • To stimulate thought and discussion by host public health practitioners to share their experiences and insights at our monthly meetings

  4. PHMIG Goal 2 • To raise awareness of public health issues among students, clinicians, and the community

  5. PHMIG Goal 3 • To connect students to opportunities to engage in public health related activities outside of the medical school curriculum

  6. PHMIG Goal 4 • To further encourage and facilitate UWSMPH’s transition to an institution focused on the importance and relevance of educating future physicians in the practice of public health

  8. Awareness Be on e-mail list, attend meetings & other public health seminars/discussions Knowledge Take advantage of other opportunities (ex. LOCUS, PAHA) and participate in PHMIG projects Skills Masters in Public Health Levels of Engagement

  9. Coordinate guests for 1st half of monthly meetings Work with other interest groups to co-sponser noon talks featuring public health in their interest area Organize an MPH info session with a panel of current/past MD,MPH students Plan a Public Health Symposium Initial PHMIG Projects

  10. Brainstorm What would you like to learn/see/do in PHMIG this year?!?
