Reason for transition • The new Phoenix Interface offers a streamlined approach to navigating and using Marketplace to enhance the user experience and making interacting with the application easier. • IMPORTANT NOTE: Phoenix interface is not available for IE7, IE8, or for IE9 in compatibility mode. If you are using one of these browsers and attempt to switch to the Phoenix interface, you will be reverted to the Classic View and receive a message saying that your browser is not supported. You will need to update your IE browser.

Classic vs. phoenix: general navigation classic phoenix The Phoenix interface features a slide-out menu. Menu items stay out of the way until they are needed for a cleaner, less cluttered site. • The classic interface is navigated via a tab driven menu that is always present across the top of the page. Sub-menu items located in sub-navigation tabs.
Classic vs. Phoenix: general navigation • Classic Classic interface often separates related pages on to separate tabs. For example, the shopping page, favorites page, and forms are all located on individual tabs.
Classic vs. Phoenix: general navigation • Phoenix In Phoenix Interface, the Menu options are grouped by related task, making them easier to locate. By hovering over each icon, a pop-up window will occur.
Classic vs. Phoenix: action items • Classic In Classic Interface, Action Items i.e. requisitions and/or approvals are located on the home/shop page.
Classic vs. Phoenix: action items • Phoenix In Phoenix, Action Items are located at the top banner making them accessible from all areas of the site.
Classic vs. Phoenix: user profile • Classic In Classic, User profile tasks are accessed from a series of navigation tabs and sub-tabs.
Classic vs. Phoenix: user profile • Phoenix By clicking on the drop down and selecting “View My Profile”, Phoenix gives you all the options in a single user profile menu. Options are grouped by similar tasks.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Changing Passwords • Classic In Classic Interface, change passwords by going to the “Profile” tab, then located just under it is a “Change Password” button.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Changing Passwords • Phoenix Change your password by going to “View My Profile” in Phoenix, then click on “Change Password” and a small window shown to the right will come up for you to enter your new password.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Email preferences • Classic E-Mail Preferences are found under the “Profile” tab in the Classic view, sub-tab “User Settings”, then to “E-Mail Preferences” in order to customize your e-mail options.

Classic vs. Phoenix: Adding Addresses • Classic Go to the “Profile” tab to add or change your Ship To Address in Classic View and sub-tab to “Purchasing” and then “Addresses”. Then you may “Select Addresses for Profile”.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Adding Addresses • Phoenix To change or add an address in Phoenix View, go “View My Profile”. Under the first list “User Info and Settings”, click on “Default Addresses” and then “Select Addresses for Profile”.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Add a Project to your profile • Classic To add a project in the Classic interface, go to the “Profile” tab. Under “Purchasing” sub-tab, then “codes”. You may add your Project number here that pertains to your department.

Classic vs. Phoenix: cart preview • Classic In order to view your current cart in Classic interface, it is necessary to leave the page you are on and go to the “active cart” tab.
Classic vs. Phoenix: cart preview • Phoenix The Phoenix interface features “cart preview”. By clicking on the cart icon at the top right of the page, you can get a quick view of the “active cart” from anywhere in the application.

Classic vs. Phoenix: Quick search • Phoenix Quick Search is still accessible from all pages in the Phoenix Interface, but it is hidden until you select the icon to display it. You may also use the quick-key Alt+Qto access the Quick Search Menu. Once you click the Magnifying Glass Icon, the “Quick Search” Box bring up a Drop Down Option. The Drop Down options are the same in Classic View”.
Classic vs. Phoenix: forms search • Classic Find the “Forms” tab on the main Tool Bar of the Classic view.
Classic vs. Phoenix: forms search • Phoenix The “Forms” section is in the Icon Tool Bar when you hover over the “Shop” Iconin the Phoenix view.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Document search • Classic “Document Search” is found on the main Tool Bar in the Classic interface. The Drop Down menu is the same as in the new Phoenix interface.
Classic vs. Phoenix: Document search • Phoenix In Phoenix, “Document Search” is found on the Icon Tool Bar that looks like a stack of papers. From here, you can search documents, view saved searches, or download export files
Classic vs. Phoenix: Logging out • Classic In Classic, the “Logout” function is displayed at the top left of the page.
