Tables in AERIES • STU – Student Demographics • TST – Student Test Information • CRS – Course & Department • CSE – Special Education • GRD – Student Grades • SEC – Current Section (Connects STU and MST & CRS table) • MST – Master Schedule Information (Current Period & Semester) • TCH – Teacher Name

Table Fields in AERIES (Cont) • STU and CSE have a “hovering” feature which give detail of the field • Review the TST (filter) • Review the CRS • AERIES Tables & Fields Booklet • Tag the STU, TST, CRS, SEC, MST, CSE, GRD & TCH tables • Go through each table and supporting information
Tips for Querying • Use the student’s permanent ID number field • LIST STU ID • Putting a “?” in front of the element will give you the long description of the field • LIST STU NM LF? • In order to call out an element, the table must be called out first • LIST STU NM ID LF? • Calling out one table, there is no need to use a “.” • LIST STU NM ID GR • Calling out multiple tables, you need to use the “table.field” format • LIST STU TST STU.NM STU.ID STU.GR TST.ID TST.PT
Tips for Querying (Cont) • Most tables & elements can be combined depending on current or past information • In order to combine the STU and MST table, you must use SEC table as a “connector” • LIST STU SEC MST • For grades, cannot use the SEC & MST table. • LIST STU GRD • To Find Course ID Numbers & Department Codes, use the “Department Codes & Course Number” Excel Sheet in the Testing/Accountability.
