  1. Smile is a precious jewel that every human being has. But a smile looks good only if one have healthy teeth. Daily brushing and flossing is important thing so that our oral health's remain good.   2. Be conscious about oral health requirement • As we know that everyone does not have same dental structure, so the need of oral health varies from person to person. There is also a bad impact on our oral health if we have some medical complications like diabetes, heart disease, addictions for some bad eating habits or going through cancer treatment. Therefore under such circumstances one should take guidance from professional’s .Discuss with doctor frankly and let them know which kind of medications you are consuming on the regular basis.

Take some time to examine your mouth regularly • While brushing or flossing take some time to examine your mouth and teeth .This is because if you regularly examine your teeth you will be familiar with your oral health and you will able to identify the change in the earlier stage .You know what are the changes occur in your mouth so it with be easier to you to discuss with your dentist

You can examine them as follows • -Any oral pain • - Feel looseness in teeth • -Any chipped or cracked teeth • -You may feel lesions, swelling on your gums, tongue or teeth • A regular examination becomes important to those who consume tobacco because they have higher risk of having oral cancer.

  5. Say no to tobacco • Consumption of tobacco affects overall health but if we look at the oral health there are higher chances of oral cancer, gum disease, tooth discoloration. So it is good to say no to tobacco in the proper time period else these disease will become bigger and bigger and it become difficult to cure them.

  6. Keep your eyes on what you are eating • Food plays an important role in human life so it is necessary to develop a healthy eating habit. Mostly person become linear for snacks and ignore their side effects but this bad eating habit affects a lot in future..

  7. Therefore to attain healthy oral health a right selection of food is important Try to include variety of food in your meal and always keep eye on the sugar and starch intake. Food products like chips, soft drinks, candies, cake, cookies contain rich amount of sugar. These items create acid in mount and tooth starts decaying .Don’t be dependent upon these snacks too much or the best thing is to do flossing or brushing after consuming them. In case bruising is not feasible at that time one can chew sugarless gums also.

  8. Use of fluoride • Fluoride is good for dental health and the good thing is there is no age bar to use this. Fluoride will not only strengthen the teeth as well as it prevents from teeth decay that’s why there is certain amount of fluoride present in toothpaste as well as in mouth rinse. You can talk to your dentist about your fluoride needs. • Apart from these all a routine checkup is necessary hence make habit to visit twice a year to your dentist.
