  1. How to Download Videos from Twitter on iPhone Want to save Twitter videos for watching offline? Well, you’re in the right place! In this post, I’m going to show you two methods to do that. The first one is to download your favorite videos from Twitter using your computer and then sync them through iTunes. The second method doesn’t require using a computer, you can just use your device alone to save videos to Camera Roll – but you’ll need to install an app (it’s free :)). Method 1: Using your computer The process to download Twitter videos is pretty simple. Step 1: Open the browser on your computer, go to Twitter and find the video you want to download. Step 2: Click on the three dots icon and select Copy link to Tweet. Press Ctrl + C to grab the URL to the Tweet in the pop-up. If it’s on Vine, just click through to the Vine website and right-click on the video in your browser and select Save video… (or a similar option). The file will then be stored on your hard drive as an MP4 file. Step 3: Go to http://twittervideodownloader.com/ Paste the URL that you’ve copied and hit Download Step 4: Wait for the website to get the download link. Once completed, click on “Download” button to start your download. Or right click and “Save Link As” to download. Step 5: Now you’ve downloaded videos successfully to your computer. It’s time to sync them to your iPhone or iPad. With this step, you can use iTunes or any tool that allows you to sync files between the computer and the device. Also read: How to Actually Hide Photos and Videos on iPhone Method 2: Using a third-party app Previously, I did write a tutorial on how to download Youtube videos on iPhone. If you’ve checked it out, then we’re literally going to use the same method. We’re going to install an app named Documents 5. Why do we need this app? – Let me explain its functionality and how you can take advantage of using it. As the app’s description on the App Store, Documents 5 is an “essential app for every iPhone and iPad that serves as a bridge between local files and any cloud storage, with the ability to download files using built-in browser”. Download Documents 5 The difference between the built-in browser of this app with other browsers like Safari or Chrome is that it allows you to save files from their direct URLs. For example, if a URL to a video is http://example.com/file_name.mp4, you can easily download and save this video using the built-in browser of D5. If you open this URL in Safari, it just plays the video and there is no download option available. The file manager of the app then lets you copy, move the downloaded videos to other folders or to the Camera Roll. So you got the idea of this method – Let’s see how to do that! Step 1: Download Documents 5 [here] Step 2: Launch the Twitter app, find the video you want to download, then tap and hold on it. When the Share Sheets show up, select Open in Safari to open the tweet in Safari. The purpose is to grab the URL to the tweet. So tap on the address bar and copy the URL, it’s something like this https://mobile.twitter.com/{username}/status/… Step 3: Now open the Documents 5 app. You’ll see a small icon that looks like the Safari icon located at the bottom-right corner of the app interface. Tap on that icon to launch the built-in browser and go to http://twittervideodownloader.com/ – the website that we use to download Twitter videos in the previous part. Step 4: Paste the URL to the tweet and hit the Download button. Once the video is ready, tap on Download video to download it. Step 5: Change the video name and the folder that will save the video if you want (The default folder is Downloads). Once done, tap Done. The browser will then start to download the file and when it is saved successfully, the app will inform you so that you can find it in the Downloads folder. Step 6: Move the video to Camera Roll: Switch to the file manager and select the folder that contains the video. If you haven’t changed it then the default folder is Downloads. To move the video to Camera Roll, tap and hold the video icon then drag it up to top left corner (where it says “Drag here”). Keep holding until the view switches to the folders screen. Drag the icon to Photos, keep holding to open this folder, then drag it to All Photos and now release your finger. Move Youtube videos to Camera Roll Now you’re done. Go to the Photos app and enjoy your video! Note that the tweet URL used in method 1 is https://twitter.com/{username}/status/…, while the URL used in method 2 is https://mobile.twitter.com/{username}/status/… If the website cannot get the download link for you, this is the reason.
