  1. The “Evil” of Conservatism “Your church is too traditional.” “You are just like the Pharisees – you think you’re the only ones who are right and everyone else is wrong!”

  2. “CONSERVATIVE” • “unimaginative, stifled by traditions” The distaste the modern religious world has for traditional values does not see the Inherent Negativity in their Own Liberal Values

  3. LENIENCY The whole concept contradicts the purpose of the revelation of God ZERO TOLERANCE • Romans 3:23 “all have sinned” • Romans 7:7, 12 “the commandment holy & just & good” • To promote Liberalism is to promote death – Romans 6:23; 1 John 3:4

  4. “The church of Christ is too traditional for my taste.” • May indicate desire, not for salvation, but for entertainment • Lord predetermined the church to be the body of those who would inherit salvation – Ephesians 1:3-12 • Conservative Views = Unwillingness to Tolerate Transgression of Divine Standard = “the church of Christ”

  5. Christ’s church is the one that: • Conforms only to His standard – Colossians 3:17 • Is the Only One with Candidates for Salvation – Acts 2:47

  6. Experiment with new & revolutionary which is Contrary to Divine Tradition- • Willingly Forfeit their Hope for Salvation – 2 Thessalonians 3:6 • Why? John 14:6 “no one comes to the Father except through Me”

  7. Liberalism Allows for No Mental Concept of “Severity” • 2 Corinthians 10:12 “comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” • Measuring our conservatism by comparing it to how far from the standard others have strayed is foolish. • James 2:8-13

  8. We Cannot Afford Any Kind of Provision for Sin • Dangers such as: • Tolerant Views of Fellowship • Emphasis on Emotionalism • Scripture-less Sermons • Faith in Human Institutions • Introductions of the so-called “New Hermenutics”

  9. We Cannot Expect to Please God Except by Striving to Keep His Standard
