The IOP's Stimulating Physics Networks aims to support early-career physics teachers by enhancing their teaching practices and improving retention within the profession. Since 2012, the program has attracted over 1,100 early-career teachers (ECTs) with a network of 26 mentors providing personalized, non-hierarchical support. The initiative includes various workshops and events, alongside collaboration with initial teacher education (ITE) providers. With a goal to recruit 400 trainees, the program focuses on integrating new Science Learning Partnerships to create ongoing support for physics teachers.
