Soft tissue injuries not shown… • Lacerations – cuts in the skin that can be minor or severe. • Avulsions – injury in which layers of skin or torn off completely or only a flap of skin remains • Puncture wounds – caused by a sharp object puncturing the skin. Ie: Nails, tacks, ice picks, knives, teeth, and needles
