  3. POPULATION OF YUKON • YUKON ‘S POPULATION IS 28 674 people living in Yukon. • YUKON’S LAND MASS IS 474 706.97 Square kilometers long.

  4. The Year Yukon joined Canada • Yukon joined Canada on JUNE 13, 1898.

  5. Yukon’s Flag • On March,1, 1968 the Yukon flag was created.

  6. On February 24 1956 the coat of arms of Yukon was made.

  7. Yukon’s flower • Yukon’s flower is the fireweed it was adopted in 1957.

  8. WEATHER AND CLIMATE • Yukon’s climate is 36.1 -60 degrees. • YUKON’s weather can be -32 to -11.

  9. Yukon’s capital • Yukon’s capital is White horse. • Not the horse.

  10. Facts about Yukon Mount • Yukon is in the Atlantic region. • The tallest mountain in Canada is in Yukon. • Mount Logan at 19 551 feet.

  11. Yukon’s industry • Yukon industry is mining for gold!!! • So move to Yukon! • Also Yukon is known for fishing, trapping and tourism.

  12. Yukon’s culture • There are many different languages spoken in Yukon: English and many first nations languages such as: Tlingit , Upper Tanana, Gwitcen, Han, Northern Tutchone, Southern Tutchone, Kaska and Tagish. Others, including Tahltan. • Yukon’s also known for Husky racing.

  13. Yukon’s forestry and sport Yukon does not want to cut down trees they want to save them. Save the trees!!! Yukon’s National sport is dog sledding.
