ReForesTree Investment opportunity, October 2005 ReForesTree, Peru Sustainable forest development This document is written with the aim to inform potential investors on the investment opportunity in ReForesTree. The initial capital raise is EUR 200,000 to finance the installation of the plantation and the working capital. Project: ReForesTree is a reforestation initiative which owns 80 ha property in the district Codo de Pozuzo in the region Puerto Inca in the department Huanuco in the middle part of Peru. The land was strategically purchased in an area with high potential, as the area will accessible by road within 5 years. Codo de Pozuzo will be one of the forest areas nearest to Lima when the road is constructed. The project is a plantation of 30 ha on the property, which uniquely produces several distinct forestry products: Pink Cedar, Eucalyptus, Teak, Chinaberry, Shaina, Capirona, Mahoni, Australian Teak and white Teak. This is a mix of high value hardwood timber and fast growing species. The trees will be harvested at age 12 and at age 20.The property is located in a proven forestry region and is managed for the purpose of operating a forestry business. The soils are well suited for forestry and the business involves: 1. Establishing plantations 2. Pruning and spacing 3. Non-commercial thinning 4. Firebreak maintenance 5. Weed control 6. Harvesting and marketing the wood According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) the demand for hardwood will steadily increase in the next decennia.
