Program Assessment Process • Combination of Curriculum Assessment and Resource Assessment Activities • Data includes feedback from faculty, students, clinical facilities/employers, Advisory Committee and the college • Data also includes feedback from CAPTE on initial site visit • Program self-evaluates on 12 criteria, with sub-criteria in each category

  3. Summary of Data Sources • Annual student surveys • Annual faculty surveys • Division and program budget • CPI Indicators • Clinical Facility Evaluation Rubrics • CI and CCCE evaluation of ACCE • Progression and completion data • Faculty meeting minutes and action plans

Summary of Triggers for Action • 4.1.2a – Program Policies and Procedures • 64.5% students indicated awareness of program/college grievance procedure • 4.1.5 – Curriculum • (b): 64.5% of students reported redundancy with current speech and HO 102 (Diversity Issues in Health Care) requirement • (d): CAPTE site visit recommends differentiated learning objectives to reflect progressive skill competencies in clinical courses

Summary of Triggers for Action • 4.1.5 Curriculum • (e) 75% graduation rate, national average is 73%, program goal is currently 90% • 4.1.6 Clinical Education • (d) Student Evaluation of Clinical Education data analysis in progress for student assessment of CIs • (e) Consider revising the minimum number of clinical sites for specialty care areas • (k) 88% or 14/16 at entry level in terminal clinical; anticipate higher % when all first class students complete terminal clinical

Next Steps • Update catalog to transition from HO 102+ SP 115 to SP 218 • Consider increase weight for interview – more data is needed here • Reduced interview size from 48 to 36 due to rank of admission data • Exploring increasing science and decreasing requirement • Send out graduate and employer surveys • Collect exam pass rates from FSBPT
