  1. Glengowan PTA Newsletter August 2011 Amounts raised in 2010/11 First of all, a huge THANK YOU to all parents, carers, family and friends who supported Glengowan PTA during the last year. We had some great, fun events as well as many fundraising activities and we would like to thank all those who provided prizes, attended and helped at these events – it is much appreciated by the PTA committee. We are delighted to let you know that we raised over £6500 – this is a fantastic amount! If you would like a copy of the full fundraising report, please see the PTA Noticeboard (outside the janitor’s office) or contact the school office for a copy. Future Plans We have a Parents meeting on Wednesday 31st August where we will hold our AGM. This year’s committee has proposed that our current balance and additional money raised in the coming year will be used to build an outdoor assault course in the grounds of our new school. At our meeting, we will also elect our committee and plan events for the coming year. If you are interested in helping at any of our events, or have new fundraising ideas, please come along and join us at 730pm in the school staff room. Everyone will be made most welcome! We always need volunteers to help at evening and weekend events (i.e. discos / fayres / beetle drive) and also those who can help within the school (i.e. delivering uniform / admin / newsletters) If you can spare any time at all, please come along to our meeting or contact the school office with your details. Many thanks in advance!
