  5. THE CURRENT SITUATION • We need to learn from the past • We acknowledge that we are to receive something we have not participated in • We need to let go of the familiar • Polarised opinions are not helpful • Everyone is affected • Many are still to embrace the Council reform

  6. Let us pray O God, life of the faithful, glory of the humble, blessedness of the just, listen kindly to the prayers of those who call on you, that they who thirst for what you generously promise, may always have their fill of your plenty. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

  9. AN OPPORTUNITY … To use the ‘moment’ of the Roman Missal 3rd Edition to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of Sunday Eucharist

  10. PRINCIPLES OF THE REFORM • Liturgy is the work of Christ and the church • All are called to participate as priests • The word takes on a restored prominence • We all offer the sacrifice
