  10. UPG 2.0 • Key Agent: Body of Christ together? • Key Dynamic: Massive collaboration by individuals, churches big and small, networks. • Key Question: As for UPG-focus, have we come out of Egypt. But still are in the wilderness experience of struggle and building seamless community before we reach all peoples?

Body of Christ:Becoming Family Along the Way • Gen. 1:28, God commanded “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” • Genesis 11: 4, …the People said: “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name (seek our own face) for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

Must REJECT Missiology that Divides the Body of Christ • Reject Neo-Colonial Missiology – “Local” only submits to “Outsider” • Reject Neo-Nationalism Missiology—”Outsider” only submits to “Insider” • Develop “Body of Christ” Missiology –Submit to each other out of Love for Christ

It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see My glory. • 19 I will set a sign among them, and those among them who escapeI will send to the nations; to Tarshish and Pul and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. • 20 Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the Lord out of all nations, on horses and chariots and in  litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.

Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. • 9“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. • 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. • 6 I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth ----- to seize dwelling places not their own. • 7 They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor. • 8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. • Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. • They fly like a vulture swooping to devour; 9 they all come bent on violence. • Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand.

Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
