Fuzzy Type-Ahead Search for URL Completion and Prediction in Firefox
This paper presents a novel fuzzy type-ahead search approach for automatic URL completion and prediction, implemented as an add-on for Firefox. Unlike existing solutions, our approach supports fuzzy search capabilities, enhancing user experience by providing more accurate suggestions. We discuss the system design, including server and client components, and conduct experiments to evaluate performance in terms of search efficiency and scalability. The findings demonstrate that our method significantly improves upon traditional type-ahead search implementations.
