American Black Bear • The American black bear, like most bears, lacks the distinctive shoulder hump that the grizzle bear has. • They have round ears, a short stubby tail and short claws that are useful for climbing trees. • The males do not help raise the cubs, but leave to mate again like most other bear species. Owl • An owl looks like a bird with a flat face and the eyes are in front of its head rather than the side of its head. • Owls live in most regions of the world making shelter in caves. • Owls mostly eat mice and rats but sometimes eat bigger prey and use their sharp claws to rip them apart.
