  2. Land Forms Some land forms in the Deciduous Forest in United States region are: the Appalachian Mountains, the Oswego River, and Lake Michigan.

  3. Producers Some producers are: passion berry, blue lily, wild flowers, and broad-leaved Deciduous Trees.

  4. Herbivores Some herbivores are: White-tailed Deer, Domestic Rabbits, Gray Squirrel, and a Tortoise.

  5. Carnivores Some carnivores are: Bald Eagle, Aspic Viper, Gray Wolf, and the Great Horned Owl.

  6. Climate The average temperature in the Deciduous Forest is –30 degrees C to 30 degrees C. The rainfall per year is 25 to 60 inches. The summers are mainly hot and the winters are cold.

  7. One Major Ecological Concern Logging companies have been cutting down trees for more land, more money, etc… The problem there is that they are not replanting what the have cut down and for the few who do, it takes to long for the seed to regrow.

  8. One conservation effort A good conservation effort is that for every tree that a logger cuts down, two more seeds should be replanted.

  9. There are many reasons why someone would want to come to the Deciduous Forest. Some of those reasons may include the beautiful nature, the great Appalachian Mountains, the great hunting areas, and the beautiful leaves on the trees that change colors in Autumn.
