Updated GUI Feature Benefit • Available Wireless Networks norgy now displays: • SSIDs (instead of iPass-enabled Access Point) • Signal strength meter • Lock icons for WEP-enabled networks Easier for users to connect to the best available network. Sets the foundation for adding non-iPass Wi-Fi networks.

  5. Balloon Tips Feature Benefit iPassConnectTM displays a balloon tip from the system tray when a Wi-Fi network is available. Easier for users to determine Wi-Fi network availability.

Non-iPass Wi-Fi Network Support Feature Benefit • SSIDs iPassConnectTM can be configured to display all broadcasting SSIDs, regardless of whether they are iPass enabled. • iPassConnect assists users in getting connected to non-iPass Wi-Fi networks, which require additional information, by either storing a WEP key or opening a browser for authentication. Users have a single, universal client interface to get connected to any network type.

  7. Non-iPass Wi-Fi Network SupportOverview • iPassConnectTM will display all broadcasting Wi-Fi networks: • Non-iPass Wi-Fi networks WILL NOT display an iPass icon next to them • WEP-enabled networks are indicated with a lock icon • On use, the following message appears

Non-iPass Wi-Fi Network SupportUser Experience • User selects the non-iPass Wi-Fi network and clicks Connect. • iPassConnectTM 3.35 associates the user to an access point. • iPassConnect begins looking for Internet access: • As soon as it gets to the Internet, iPassConnect launches the VPN • If the location requires a subscription or has a walled garden: • iPassConnect opens the browser for the user • User can accept terms and conditions • User can enter credentials for that provider • User can input credit card information to buy a day pass, etc. • iPassConnect continues attempting to find Internet access • When user connects to the Internet: • iPassConnect launches post-connect actions

  9. Non-iPass Wi-Fi NetworkImportant Notes • Multiple personal Wi-Fi networks: • Must have non-iPass Wi-Fi enabled to have personal Wi-Fi appear • Users can disable non-iPass Wi-Fi. • WEP-enabled networks can be managed from Connection Settings.
