Game Flow Storyboard Frames • User, whilst in Sprite’s domain, needs to cross a divide or precipice for benefit of Self, Sprites and main game flow and larger scale integration. • Becomes clear that the way to do this is to place a tree across the divide as a makeshift bridge. • User questions a Sprite about felling a tree. • …Is told that only in very special circumstances can a tree be cut down. • Sprite is unresponsive to (cagey about) further questioning. Subject is clearly somewhat taboo.

  3. User is guided (via hints:Oracle/Ships computer) through the forest and discovers a tree stump. • Several trails of sawdust and woodchips lead away there from. • User follows trails. Some of which are dead ends. • One leads to felled tree surrounded by kneeling, praying, crying sprites. • User questions a sprite and learns about the ritual that is necessary in order to fell a tree. Involves singing, ceremonial chainsaw and praying/dedication. • Permission must be sought from the tribe leader. • User is guided to leader.

  4. Lead sprite agrees to ceremony on the condition that the user fell the tree themselves. • Ceremony is performed. • User fells the tree and it screams and bleeds. • Sprites are weakened and fall over • User understands the reluctance of Sprite to fell trees.

  5. Failure options • User questions Sprite 1 in the wrong way (Using SMS) • User questions Sprite 2 in the wrong way (Using SMS) • User questions Sprite 3 (Leader) in the wrong way (Using SMS) • Chooses to follow wrong sawdust path • User uses chainsaw/RFID tagged objects incorrectly

  6. Success • User performs all actions correctly • Cut scene is played of tree being felled • Screaming • Praying • Tree be moved into position across chasm • User leads sprites across tree to other side (Mech land, Cog land, more stranded sprites ?)
