Basic Information • Reconstruction of the open-air playhouse(1599) completed in June, 1997 • The Open-air Playhouse used to be Shakespeare’s workplace where he wrote his plays (located in London) • Located in many places including London, USA, Germany, Italy • Said to be the heart of the Shakespeare’s Globe Centre

Breif History of Globe Theatre • Original Globe was destroyed by fire on June 29, 1613 (three years before Shakespeare’s death) • Several Globes were rebuilt after the original one • Rebuilt with modern technology, and as one of the most currently built theatre of the Globe Theatre, it opens on June, 1997 in London with the Play Henry V
