Looking forward: recommendations Dialogue is an ongoing process Since enrolement in reserve to retirement Between Defense + Firms + Reservist + Family • How to implement the dialogue • Internal / personal : Set-up a Reservist action plan • External : Circulate a Reservist orientation handbook to HR managers • Natioanl : Set-up a national board / forum (Employers, MoD, ROAs…) • International (EU, Cior…) : Establish guidelines / database for dialogue • How to facilitate the dialogue • Produce civilian translation of military training and comitments • Obtain the proper recognition of the reservist skills • Install a POC in each company (HR director level for contact by MoD) • Give the manager the opportunity to witness on the field achivement • Establish a recognition program for companies (Awards) “Enabling NATO Operations Through Effective Employer Support” – DEFSEC Committee
