  2. Money • Jaggers gives Pip a note with 900 pounds in it from Miss Havisham. • Pip gives this money to Clarriker, a business partners of Herbert’s. • A new branch is opening on the East side of town. • Herbert is going to have to be in control of that business and Pip’s best friend will soon leave him.

  3. Burn After Reading • At breakfast one morning Pip finds a note from Wemmick. • The note reads that Pip and Magwitch should make his escape early that week. • The note says at the end “Burn After Reading” • Pip and Magwitch plan their escape and plan to leave in two days.

  4. Another Note • When Pip returns home he finds another note stating that if he wants information about Uncle Provis he meet him at the marshes that night. • This note scares Pip partially because it is signed anonyms. • Pip leaves on the next coach back to the marshes.

  5. The Inn • In his home town Pip avoids the Blue Boar and goes to the lesser known inn. • While having a discussion with the landlord Pip thinks to himself "I had never been struck at so keenly, for my thanklessness to Joe, as through the brazen impostor Pumblechook. The falser he, the truer Joe; the meaner he, the nobler Joe"  • After this Pip reaches in his pocket and is surprised to find the anonyms letter was gone, but set off for the marshes.

  6. Quotes and Chapter Title • "Walworth. Burn this as soon as read. Early in the week, or say Wednesday, you might do what you know of, if you felt disposed to try it. Now burn.""If you are not afraid to come to the old marshes to-night or tomorrow night at Nine, and to come to the little sluice-house by the limekiln, you had better come. If you want information regarding your uncle Provis, you had much better come and tell no one and lose no time. You must come alone. Bring this with you.“ • I named this chapter Notes because of all the notes involved in this chapter
