  2. Jeremiah in Context • What is happening historically? • Who are Jeremiah’s contemporaries?

Jeremiah 1:5 • What is the principle here? • The word “knew” is translated from the Hebrew word “yada”, which connotes a very personal, intimate relationship. • Do you think the Lord knows us as well as He did Jeremiah? What does that mean for us? • How can you find out what you may have been foreordained to? • Patriarchal Blessings • Prayer, fasting • Words of the Prophets • What is the difference between Predestination and Foreordination?

  4. Jeremiah 1:1–10 “Every man who has a calling to minister to the inhabitants of the world was ordained to that very purpose in the Grand Council of heaven before this world was.   7. What was Jeremiah’s call? • The Kingdom of Judah had gone downhill. • Jeremiah 2:5-8 • Jeremiah 6:10-11 • Jeremiah 9:1-3 • He was trying to save a fallen people. • They had been completely corrupted and beyond hope, yet Jeremiah still hoped to bring them back.
