  5. Principle Outcomes • Range of models of integration • Levels of integration vary widely • Range of frameworks and lenses used to teach Indigenous health • Raised profile of Indigenous health competencies • Ongoing process of institutional change resulting from reviews

Ongoing Challenges Previously outlined in reviews and CAPHIA forums: • Resourcing and prioritising Indigenous health education • Overcoming ongoing gaps in curriculum • Appropriate content and resource development • Required teaching support and staff development • Staff recruitment and retention • Workforce development needs survey • Appropriateness of current competencies • Documenting Indigenous health content

Workshop Questions In terms of policy direction: • How do we ensure Indigenous Health Core Competencies are incorporated into the revised Australian MPH Graduate Core Competencies? • How do we ensure MPH Core Competencies are incorporated into undergraduate and postgraduate public health education? • How do we ensure integration of Indigenous Health Core Competencies is supported by public health education leadership (i.e. PHAA, AEA, PHILE, CAPHIA, Heads of Schools)
