Important Updates: Appreciation Days, Volunteers Needed, and Upcoming Events

Attention all students! This week brings important deadlines and exciting events. Remember to submit your P5 forms by the end of Friday, as they will be used for activities. For Appreciation Day, summarize your contributions and reflections due next class. We urgently require 21 volunteers for May 14 to engage with visiting Japanese students. Note the photo opportunity after school to support Free the Children. Updates include changes to the Pep Rally on June 7 and the need for reflections and PowerPoints for Grade 12 events. Let's make this week memorable!

  1. Senior Leadership “OMG--CDiM!” --Ms. Raj

  2. Appreciation days and dance • P5 forms ASAP (you have until the end of this Friday—I will use the ones I have) • Appreciation day: have to summarize what you did, how it was received and what you could do differently-due by next class

  3. Volunteers • We need 21 volunteers for Tuesday, May 14th (Not the entire day)—visiting Japanese students • 18-to pair up with a student (greet in morning, eat lunch with partner, say good bye) • 3 to direct (you would be just a minute or 2 late for your classes on that day and would have to leave just a few minutes before the end of your classes) • Don’t forget this Friday and Saturday if you are helping with the picnics/fairs

  4. PHOTO-OP • Friday right after school all students involved in Live to Give are getting a photo as we present the cheque to Free the Children (big gym). • Event today at lunch(Kara, Eli, Sam R.)

  5. Canada Day in May • Lots of Fraser and McMillan kids • Run through on Thursday next week (have your box and all your supplies)

  6. Gr 12 events • Retreat, Yale wear/magazine drive, Live to Give, Pep Rally, CDiM • I need P5s and a checklist of what needs to be done for your given event (one page only) • Pep rally moved to Friday, June 7th ;-)

  7. Grade 12 Lessons • I need a print of your powerpoint and a reflection ASAP (criteria is on my website) • Cam/Daniel, Daniella/Sami, Connor/Nick, Hannah/Alex • TODAY-Sunita and Kasandra
