The Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee convened on December 1, 2011, to review the NECP Goal 2 reporting. A remarkable 28 out of 29 counties reported their capabilities, achieving 100% reporting. Notably, 80% of counties demonstrated emergency communication responses within one hour, surpassing the 75% goal. Updates included the status of the IECGP grant, narrowband readiness, and SCIP initiatives aimed at enhancing statewide communication strategies. Discussion also covered future recommendations and the SCIP implementation workshop scheduled from January to August.
