  3. Utilisation • Health indicators that are relevant to health problems in atoll countries • E.g. Body mass index • Instance of NCDs • Birth weight • Vitamin deficiency

  4. Access • Average income (individual or household level) • Income inequality • % of household without own land plot • Rate of rural-urban migration (loss of own production?) • Disruption to transport/trade schedule

  5. Stability • Food component of CPI • Inflation rate of prices of rice and other staple goods • Rainfall (mm/month or year) – affects stability of food production • A measure of increased volatility in weather patterns. • Number of extreme weather events e.g. cyclones, droughts. • Extent or rate of land degradation • Salt water intrusion • Seasonal change in fish stocks due to fish migration
