  16. LBNL Environmental Monitoring • Analytical services depending on FY13 budget may have to be reduced slightly for VOCs measurements at the groundwater treatment systems, and monitoring for some radioactive materials in wastewater discharges and ambient air may be eliminated. 18. LBNL Waste Management • Analytical services will remain steady for sample analyses driven by LBNL’s TSDF permit’s Quality Assurance program. Samples come from support services and research waste streams. Environment / Health / Safety / Security DIVISION

  19. LBNL Generated Waste TSDFs used include • Energy Solutions • Permafix, Inc. • Nevada Test Site • Facilities include several subcontracts as well as one DOE system-wide master subcontract (DOE Ohio). Environment / Health / Safety / Security DIVISION

  20. LBNL Projected Use Analytical Labs • FY12 $144K • FY13 $144K TSDF • FY11 81 cubic meters [40 m3 routine low-level waste, 1 m3 mixed waste, 40 m3 non-routine low level waste from D&D activities (Bevatron- complete April 2011)] • FY12 0 cubic meters [No low-level waste or mixed waste was shipped in FY12 since not much radioactive waste was generated and funding for disposal was limited. ] Environment / Health / Safety / Security DIVISION
