REMEMBER. 2 Peter 1:12-15. Memory Is Such A Great Gift. Selected amnesia would be nice. What did your parents look like, sound like? How did you “feel” when you were baptized? How much zeal did you have? Joy? “God gave us memory so we could have roses in December.”

  2. Memory Is Such A Great Gift • Selected amnesia would be nice. • What did your parents look like, sound like? • How did you “feel” when you were baptized? • How much zeal did you have? Joy? • “God gave us memory so we could have roses in December.” • Now we have roses all year long.

  3. Remember Your Creator • Eccl. 12:1-2 – hearts are tender, but experience is short. • The world denies Him – “Nat. Geo. Wild” – story of Coelacanth. • Such certainty!? • Heb. 3:12f – hardened hearts don’t live long – physically or spiritually. • Choose life – John 3:14-21

  4. Remember the Rainbow • Gen. 9:11-17 • God’s Flood was “right”. (6:5) • God’s Mercy was evident. • God’s providence is obvious. • God’s promise is comforting. • God’s judgment is sure – 2 Peter 3:10-14

  5. Remember to Pray • 1 Timothy 2:1-4 • To praise • To thank • To intercede for others • To beseech for self

  6. Remember to Reinforce Words with Actions • James 2:17-24 • I love the Lord, but never speak His name. • I love the Word, but never look at it. • I hope for heaven, but never turn loose of life. • How real is our love and hope?
