  2. Worry: merizo- “to divide,” & nous- “mind.” • Dividing the mind (James 1:8; Matt 6:23) • Trusting in things (Matt 6:30) • Distracted by duties (Luke 10:41)

  3. Worry hurts spiritually (Matt 6:33; Heb 13:5; 1 Pet 5:7; Phil 4:19) • …and physically (1 Cor 3:16; 6:19; Gal 4:6)

  4. We forget our worth to God (Matt 6:26) • We don’t get taller or live longer (Matt 6:27) • We become blind to blessings (Matt 6:28-30) • We sin (Matt 6:31-33)

  5. Don’t live in tomorrow (Matt 6:34; 1 John 3:2; 2 Cor 6:2; Heb 4:7) • Don’t live in yesterday (Matt 6:34; Lamentations 3:22-26)

Lamentations 3:22-26 • 22 The Lord's lovingkindnessesindeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him." 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. 26 It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord.
