  2. Features • Now we will see about the new features of SharePoint 2013 • They are • Authentication • Business Connectivity Services • eDiscovery • Mobile devices • Workflow

  3. Authentication • It extends support for application authentication as well as server to server authentication. • User can grant apps in SharePoint store to certain resources and data. • Server to server security tokens will help to access cross-server authentication.

  4. Business Connectivity Services • Microsoft added a bunch of new features to BCS • SharePoint users can receive notifications to the external system • Self-contained apps SharePoint for

  5. eDiscovery • They included new site template, the eDiscovery Center, which creates a portal for managing cases. • You can also now take the results of your eDiscovery search • Including documents, wiki pages, Exchange email messages and tasks-- and export them into a review tool.

  6. Mobile Devices • Ability to render a single SharePoint published site into multiple formats • Enabled push notification service on a SharePoint site • It send updates to a windows phone device

  7. Workflow • Microsoft made architectural changes in SharePoint Workflow. • The new features include a visual workflow that uses a Visio 2013 Preview add-in. • New workflow building blocks called Stage, Loop, and App Step.
