  2. LABELLED BUNDLES Label bundle is a group of articles, containing Check-slip on the top.

  3. OBJECT OF LABELLED BUNDLES prepared to reduce the re- handling of articles To save labour & time of the intermediate offices through which it passed.

  4. Types of label bundle • Station Bundle: Whenever 15 or more articles for delivery by one Post Office a Station Bundle can be prepared. • (for example, Bangalore 560001, Hyderabad 500001, Thiruvananthapuram 695001 etc)

  5. Types of label bundle • Town Delivery bundle ( T. D. Bundle) • Whenever 15 or more articles deliverable by the same town a TD bundle is prepared • (for example, 2 articles addressed to Delhi 110001, 3 articles addressed to Delhi 110003, 1 article addressed to Delhi 110011 and 6 articles addressed to Delhi 110020) named as DELHI TD can be prepared. • This will be opened only at Delhi RMS office

  6. Types of label bundle • District Bundle: If 15 or more articles are deliverable by same district, District Bundle can be prepared. • Circle Bundle: If 15 or more articles are there to a particular State/Postal Circle, a State Bundle/Circle Bundle can be prepared.

  7. Types of label bundle • Foreign Bundle: If 5 or more articles are available to a particular foreign country, a bundle can be prepared to that country. • Otherwise, all foreign articles will be tied in one bundle which is named Foreign Bundle.

  8. Types of label bundle • 56 APO Bundle: If there are 01 or more articles for the protectors of National boundary. addressed to Field Post Office or Army Post Office, a bundle addressed as ’56 APO’ is prepared.

  9. Types of label bundle • Sorting bundle: All the remaining articles can be made to one bundle which is called as Sorting Bundle. The Sorting Bundle will be opened at the Sorting Office and further sorted.
