  1. Health Chapter 1 Lesson 2

  2. Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle The actions you take regarding to one part of your health, also affects other parts as well. How late you go to bed, affects the way you are in the morning. You don’t feel the same after ‘physical activity’.

  3. Health Triangle The three main elements of health… • physical, • mental/emotional • and social …are all connected like a triangle. If one side isn’t balanced, it affects the triangle which can then become lopsided or unbalanced.

  4. Physical Being physically healthy is having energy to make it through the day. Being physically healthy is to get the right amount of sleep, eating and drinking enough, and being physically active daily. It also means to practice good hygiene, getting check ups when needed, watching what goes into your body and avoiding harmful substances.

  5. Mental/Emotional How you feel about yourself, meeting the demands of daily life and processing information are all key points of mental/emotional health. Those with good mental/emotional health enjoy challenges and look at mistakes positively. They also know how to express their feelings appropriately and have a positive attitude overall. Which contributes very much to them not being overwhelmed by frustrations they can face daily.
