The High Plains Express Initiative aims to enhance energy transmission across the western U.S. by constructing two 1,280-mile, 500kV AC lines through Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. With a capacity of 3,500 to 4,000 MW, this project facilitates the connection of regional renewable energy projects and involves participation from 11 parties. Currently in the second phase of feasibility studies, the initiative represents a significant step toward improving renewable energy infrastructure and supporting future energy demands.
