  2. Setting • By 2154, humans have severely depleted Earth's natural resources. • They go to Pandora to find new Resources. • Pandora is a densely forested habitable moon orbiting the gas giant Polyphemus in the Alpha Centauri star system.

  3. Humans • Look just like us • Workers • Businessmen • Military soldiers • Guns for Hire (not actually fighting for a country) • Scientists • Studying the planet • (rare plants and animals) • Avatar operators • Technology for more advanced

Humanoids' – Na’vi • Indigenous people • Language – Na’vi • Blue Creatures • 10 Foot tall • They are Mammals • Much stronger skin • Have tails • Intricate brain stem ( at the end of hair) thing that allows them to interact with the plants and animals (by connection) • Several Tribes spread around Pandora • Religion • Similar to Animism (Aborigines Aussie) • Eywa- mother goddess • Economy • Traditional • Government • Citizen Participation • autocratic or oligarchic • Distribution of Power • Unitary

  7. Avatars • To explore Pandora's biosphere, scientists use Na'vi-human hybrids called "avatars", operated by genetically matched humans

  8. Why are the Humans there • Earth needs resources • The Resources Development Administration (RDA) mines for a valuable mineral – unobtanium – on Pandora. • Move valuable than gold and oil. • The planet is full of it.

Different Prospective Humans Na’vi • Need Natural resources • Cant breath on Planet • Cant really survive on planet • Don’t want to look like bad guys • Believe they are superior than the Na’vi • Have no use for humans • Don’t need there technology • Don’t want to leave there home land • Apart of there religion to worship Aywa
