Heritage The Young Visionary Award was instituted as an annual award by India Habitat Centre in 2004 and has been awarded each year for the last three years to a young voice that articulates and impacts on the mainstream of natural and societal consciousness for the creation of a natural environment where excellence prospers. “This award is a part of our conscious effort to initiate a process wherein young minds while engaged in the pursuit of academic excellence, need to dwell on the concerns of the country as a part of their perspective”.   4. A unique opportunity Fully paid summer programme at Cambridge University, U.K. 1ST runners up gets an internship with National Geographic Channel and others get to intern with established NGOs Winner gratification Selected entries will be published in the IHC publication “Voices of the Young”

  5. Who Can Participate ? Someone who can think again and express their vision for the future of India Open to all Undergraduate students across India

  6. How to participate in it ? Send across essays in 1000-1500 words on any one of the topics listed. • Essays could be in English or Hindi • Your essay should be the synopsis of a larger, realistic and practical vision • All entries should be typed in double space on A4 size paper • You should also enclose your CV in about 250 words and a bonafide certificate from your institution Your essay should reach India Habitat Centre latest by October 30, 2006.
