Is’t schoon met Sint-Giel, ‘t zal zo zijn tot Sint-Michiel.(29/9) Rijmspreuken Een trage hand krijgt leed en schand, een kloeke hand krijgt eer en land. Al wat gij hebt,dat gaf de heer, daarom verklein u meer en meer. Spreekwoorden en gezegden Hoe later op den avond,hoe schoner volk. (wordt gezegd tegen late bezoekers) Men moet het ijzer smeden terwijl het heet is. (Men mag een gunstige gelegenheid niet ongebruikt laten voorbij gaan.) Spreekwijzen Een glaasje op de valreep. (een laatste glaasje voor het vertrek) Dat is het ei van Columbus. (dat is doodeenvoudig,als ge’t maar weet) Allez…,Fhillemon…, ga je nog mee..??? Erik De Backer
