This guide provides an overview of how to effectively enter student assessment data through the OASIS platform. After logging in, teachers can manage DRA/EDL data by selecting a class and entering necessary metrics for each student. This includes the DRA2 or EDL2 text level, ORF, and comprehension levels, as well as determining if students are reading at above, below, or at grade level based on evidence. Key tips include saving work frequently, revising entries as needed, and understanding entry requirements for different languages.

Online Data Entry (OLADE) After logging into OASIS, choose the option, “Manage Student DRA/EDL Data” from the main menu. A class or section must then be chosen, which prompts an alphabetic class list. For every student tested, teachers should enter: • A DRA2/EDL2 Text Level, ORF & Comp (when appropriate*), and • Whether the student is reading at/above or below grade level, based on a Body of Evidence. • A DRA2 text level, ORF and Comp must be entered to enter an English Reading Level Decision • An EDL2 text level, ORF and Comp must be entered to enter a Spanish Reading Level Decision. • *No ORF or Comp values are collected for levels A-3.
Online Data Entry: Helpful Hints • For TNLI/Dual Lang schools, DRA2 entry is on same screen as EDL2. • Save your work often – click on big green button called “Save.” Please check your work. • To revise an entry click “Edit” to the left of the student’s name. • To delete an entry, click “Delete” to the left of the student’s name. • For CBLA cohort students in grades 4-5 (4-8 in K-8 schools) in spring, choosing “reading at/above grade level” removes them from the cohort and necessitates a discontinuation of an ILP. 3
