  2. The first and most important rule is to always follow teachers instructions. Do not touch anything on counters or get in cabinets without teachers permission.

  3. To protect your eyes you might have to wear goggles during a lab. If you get something in your eyes wash them out in the sink.

  4. Keeping your work area neat will help cut down on accidents. Clear your desk of books or things not needed when doing labs.

  5. Be careful when handling sharp objects like scissors or knives.

  6. Stay away from a heating device like a hot plate.

  7. Do not put anything in your mouth without instruction from your teacher, including a solid or a liquid.

  8. Report any accidents to the teacher, and do not touch broken glass.

  9. Anyone who is not following directions or is not safe will not be allowed to participate and receive a 0 for the lab. (No horseplay!)
