Use your Report Card and think about your study habits to complete the Following Checklist Checklist for the Second Grading Period Part 1 If you are not completely satisfied with your grades for the first grading period, the checklist below may help in evaluating your performance in the classroom. Leave space underneath each one to write how you will change to earn better grades for the Second Grade Period. ___ Attendance—Has your attendance been regular? Have you been tardy? ___ Makeup Work—If you have had to be absent from school, have you completed all makeup work? ___ Book—If a book is required for class, have you brought it each day? ___ Materials—Have you brought all necessary materials to class each day? (pens, paper, notebook, etc.) ___ Assignments—Have you completed all assignments and turned them in on time?

Did you know you MUST attend 90% of your classes to receive credit in EACH class??? From Page 6 of Mission CISD Student Handbook: To receive credit in a class, a student must attend at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered.

Use your Attendance Report and think about your Absences to complete the Following Questions Reflective Questions about your Attendance Part 1 What is your Dream Job ??? Write it at the top of your paper in all CAPITAL LETTERS.

Now look at your absences to answer the following: • If your dream job called to check on your attendance and tardies for this semester, what would the school say? • Would you get the job if it was based only on attendance and punctuality? Why or why not? • Looking back at YOUR 1stsemester’s attendance report, has your attendance and/or number of tardies affected your grades? How?

Now look at your absences to answer the following: Reflective Questions about your Attendance Part 2 • Which items in the checklist below will help you improve your grades for the rest of the school year? Write them down on your own paper. • ____Do my homework when it is given • ____ Turn in my completed homework on time • ____ Stay after school and ask the teacher for help when needed • ____ Look for resources to help me with my classes • ____ Be punctual and attend class every day • ____ Come to class prepared with supplies everyday
