Educational networks must be social, trustworthy and collaborative. What’s working?The use of a social networking technology for educational purposes is expected more by today’s students. Therefore teachers must participate to understand. What adds value? Schools must measure the dollar value of technology in how it competes for limited funds. Open source networking tools can meet those budgets and also adds to user productivity value (Solomon and Schrum, 2007, p.131).
