Exploring Inspirational Artists: Georgia O'Keeffe, Naum Gabo, Chris Ofili, & More

This homework project focuses on researching contemporary artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Naum Gabo, Chris Ofili, Wassili Kandinsky, and Antoni Gormley. Using the "Who, What, Where, When, How, and Why" (5WH) framework, each student will analyze their designated artist. Additionally, students will select images of their favorite works, recreate one of them in a chosen medium, and explain their selections. They will also design an 'Artist Postcard' featuring a unique font inspired by the artist's style, ensuring originality and accuracy in their work.

  2. Term 1 Artist research 8N is Georgia O'Keeffe 8D is Naum Gabo 8A is Chris Ofili 8E is Wassili Kandinsky 8V is AntoniGormley Do a “ Who? What? Where? When? How? Why?” (5WH ) analysis of your link artistand collect some images of his/her work. Be selective with the information and do not copy/paste. Don’t forget to include you personal opinion. Due Date: Week Beginning 30th Sep From your collection of images, choose your favourite and copy it in a medium of your choice ( pen, pencil, watercolour, collage etc..). Then explain why you chose this piece and why like it. You can work as big or small as you like and remember I expect accuracy and good quality. Due Date: Week Beginning 4th Nov Design an ‘Artist Postcard’ for your link artist in a medium of your choose. This must include the artist name in a unique font style inspired by his/her work. Due Date: Week Beginning 2nd Dec These are assessed tasks. They should take about 3 h in total to complete and you must do your very best!!
