  1. NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria Introduction Holding an MBBS degree is a great feat for any medical student. It is the certified gateway to serve the nation as well as accumulate a humungous amount of money. And the secondary thing is, your parents can’t be happier. Agree? But before you jump into the ocean of vast medical course and find an ideal college to get enrolled in, ensure that you are an eligible contender. So, what should you do to check that? The answer is simple. Check the next slide. Are You Eligible to Enter NEET Exam Hall?

  2. Academic Qualifications • Whether you have completed Class XII or are pursuing it, you stand eligible to enter the examination hall. • Check that you have secured more than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology for General category. For OBC/SC/ST, SC/ST/OBC-PH and GEN PH, the minimum percentile must be 40%, 40% and 45% respectively. • As per Graduate Medical Education Regulations-1997 and BDS Course Regulations, 2007, admission to MBBS/BDS courses requires a candidate to pass in all three subjects of PCM and English.

  3. Age Limit & Number of Attempts “How old are you?” Are you below 17 years or above 25 years? If you answer in the affirmative, that means you are not eligible for NEET exam 2018. • The minimum age to sit in the exam is 17 years. • The upper age limit is 25 years. • For OBC/SC/ST category, students get 5 years relaxation. CBSE, NEET exam conducting body, keeps a close look at the age limit of the candidates. Maximum Attempt:-One can attempt as many times within the above mentioned age limit; which further clarifies that a general category candidate can appear 9 times, while other category students can avail 14 attempts.

  4. Who Can Appear in NEET-UG, 2018? Residential Status • Indian Citizens • NRIs (Non Residential Indians) • OCI (Oversees Citizen of India) • PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)

  5. Who Can Appear in NEET-UG 2018 for 15% All India Quota seats? Aspirants from Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana are not entitled 15% AI quota seats. They had already opted out of the AI scheme from the beginning. Those who claim for AI quota must submit self-declaration online. This can further be printed for the record for future use (counselling).
