Connie And Her Family • Connie has a 5 year old adopted son named Matthew. • She attended the University of Maryland, where she first majored in Biology and then switched to Journalism. • She was the first journalist to interview basketball legend Magic Johnson after he revealed that he was HIV-positive. She was also the first to interview congressman Gary Condit after his intern Chandra Levy disappeared. • She got a fellowship at Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University for teaching. • She’s a television newswoman. • Her father is a high-ranking Taiwanese diplomat. • She began her career working for the CBS evening news in the 1970s. • In 1984 she married Maury Povich. • In her television hosting career she’s been on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC. • In 2006 her and her husband began hosting the show, “Weekends with Maury and Connie.” • Connie and her husband hosted “Weekends with Maury and Connie."
