The March 10, 2014 meeting focused on the completion of the PPGES pilot and highlighted key areas such as student growth goals, professional growth plans, and Val-Ed results. The Principal Effectiveness Steering Committee recommended new strategies for Assistant Principals within the Principal Growth and Effectiveness System, which were submitted to the Kentucky Board of Education. Updates concerning the CIITS, SGG setting, and OPGES involving counselors and special educators were also discussed, alongside special education scenarios and upcoming webcasts for further guidance.

PPGES—Assistant Principals • The Principal Effectiveness Steering Committee has proposed recommendations for Assistant Principals in the Principal Growth and Effectiveness System (PPGES) and forwarded these recommendations along with a proposed summative model to the Kentucky Board of Education for its review.
CIITS Update • SGG setting process now available in EDS • Interventionists and Special Educators now have access to the Observation process, but not Self-Reflection and PGP (currently under development)
Student Voice--Pilot • K-2 not required this year • Districts may choose to participate • e-mail teacherleader@education.ky.gov with K-2 Student Voice Survey in the subject line.
OPGES • counselors, social workers, psychologists, library media specialists, nurses, instructional specialists, and therapeutic therapists. • A pilot for OPGES will occur in 2014-15 • In 2015-16statewide implementation
