  3. Introduction • Network Division The division is responsible for all infrastructure aspects of local area networking within the SQUNet. In particular, the division oversees the operation of the university campus wide network backbone and its related LANs, WANs and Wireless in various SQU buildings.

  4. Responsibilities • Planning, designing and development of network infrastructure. • Providing technical consultancy in the provision of networks for SQU buildings and projects. • Managing networks projects, i.e. specifying, requesting, evaluating, recommending, and following implementations of the projects. • Offering network connectivity services. • Carrying out the installation, maintenance and upgrading of the SQUNet infrastructure. Managing, monitoring and diagnosing the operations of all networks devices. • Responsible for the well being of all network control rooms within the SQU campus. • Responsible for the security of the SQUNet infrastructure. • Documentation of administrative and technical information about the SQUnet.

  5. Community Services • Providing technical consultancy in networking projects for the government. • Provide technical training in networking for students from SQU colleges as well as other colleges, institutes and center.
