  2. Paper Submission Website: • http://bartsimpson.uta.edu:8080/DMPS/ • Website has some issue; Please submit the names manually to GTA.

  3. Individual Article Presentation Paper Title :Author :Publication : Year : Problem it solves:. The main idea Significance? Why?: Motivation of the work Result Obtained: How it relates to our topic Re-engineering Methodology : What Methodology, Algorithm, any tool:

  4. Individual Article critique Paper Title :Author :Publication :Year : The critique should include a brief summary of the paper, at least three strengths and at least three weaknesses of the paper. The critiques are due before the class on the day the papers are to be presented.

  5. Project Work: Legacy code: An advising System What I know about it? 1. An adviser allocates advising time slots, and modify such allocations. 2. A student makes an appointment, and cancels such appointment. 3. An admin (who can be a designated staff or a designated adviser) creates an adviser account. 4. An adviser logs in and logs off the system. http://bartsimpson.uta.edu:8080/MavAdvising/

  6. Re-Engineering Project Work: Two Versions: 1. MavAppointment-4361F14T3.rar (for the groups 1, 2, 3, 4) 2. team2cse4361advisingsched.zip (for the groups 5,6,7)

  7. Project Work Assignments: Part -I: Re-engineering (in your own way) Due in three weeks on Feb 24th. 1. Pick up one version and study the legacy code 2. Come up with few requirements for enhancements (I am trying to get some requirements from customer as well) 3. Enhance the code and make it working Submit: Provide the artifacts you generated Time you took for each artifacts in man hours Enhanced code Demonstrate the working SW

  8. Project Work Assignments: Part-II: Re-engineering (using N-Model) Due in two weeks there after on Mar 12th. 1. Pick up the other version and study the legacy code 2. Come up with few requirements for enhancements (I am trying to get some requirements from customer as well) 3. Enhance the code using N-Model and make it working Submit: Provide the artifacts you generated Time you took for each artifacts in man hours Enhanced code Demonstrate the working SW

  9. Major Paper Proposal: Part-III: Re-engineering Major Paper 1. Final Paper topic name due March 3rd. 2. Final Paper due in week of May 5th. 3. Presentation/Project Demo due as schedule last two weeks of Semester. Each group is expected to write a research paper by the end of the semester The final report (10 pages or so in length) submission is expected to be of publishable quality.Thetopic is to be discussed with the instructor. Examples include a new contribution on a specific reengineering topic, a survey paper of a software evolution/reverse engineering/reengineering related topic (typically involves surveying 30 – 60 papers), or building a tool to support software evolution, reverse engineering and reengineering
