The Vital Role of Wetlands and Swamps in Ecosystems

Wetlands are essential environments that support a diverse range of wildlife, providing food and shelter for animals, particularly ducks that feed in flooded areas. They contribute significantly to the ecosystem by producing oxygen through trees and plants. Swamps, often muddy and grassy, are constantly flooded, supporting unique flora and fauna. Freshwater sources are crucial for freshwater organisms, while saltwater habitats support marine life such as crabs and fish. Water quality in oceans is crucial for maintaining healthy populations of aquatic species.
