Company Overview • Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of multicrystalline solar products • 3 facilities in Belle Vernon and 1 facility in Mount Pleasant • Incorporated in 2003, SPI is the successor company to Ebara Solar, Inc. • More than 250 employees • Our vertically-integrated business model allows us to manufacture our solar products in-house, • up to the solar cell level • SPI produces and supplies ingots, bricks, wafers, and cells to domestic and international • markets • Certification experience with UL and TUV

SPI Production Process • Silicon feedstock material is cast into ingots that are then sliced into silicon bricks • Bricks are sliced into 200μm wafers • Wafers are chemically etched, coated with an anti- • reflective material, printed, and processed into solar cells • SPI can produce cells with efficiencies of up to 16%

SPI Modules and Array Systems • SPI can produce a broad range of modules of up to 280 watts • Module features include: • Heavy duty, anodized aluminum panel frames • High capacity junction boxes and diodes • Ability to customize modules and array systems to meet varying customer requirements CCI Center Ballasted Install Trolley Museum Standing Seam Install

Module Site • Facility scheduled to move into production in March 2011 • Facility statistics: • 50 Megawatts/year • 650 Modules/day • 3 Shifts employing roughly 60 workers • Semi-automated line; robotics up to lamination phase • 100% of the cells used in the panels will be manufactured in SPI’s Rostraver facility • 1 of 3 domestic PV manufacturers with 100% US content • 100% self-financed project • Expanding the Rostraver facility beyond 50 Megawatts/year
