Asbestos Removal and Storage B.I.G Carpentry is a Registered and Licenced Asbestos Removalists with NT Worksafe and Ntepa (Environment Protection Licence - Number #EPL108) We also have a registered Asbestos storage facility at our Workshop. This facility is used until the NCL Asbestos Disposal facility is open – which is only twice a year .

We are committed to working to the NT WorkSafe Health & Safety Act & Regulations, (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2012 and believe all injuries & accidents are preventable. To this effect our employees are encouraged to: • Identify hazards & reduce the risk of injury or illness to themselves and others • Be active in the JSEA • Report all hazards/accidents/incidents immediately • Our Occupational Health & Safety Systems are continually monitored and upgraded. The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring all personal are kept abreast of changes adhere to policies at all times.

Training/Apprenticeships • B.I.G Carpentry Pty Ltd policy is to ensure all employees are adequately trained and qualified for the tasks that they are required to perform. • All employees are inducted into the business and educated on Occupational Health & Safety policies, acceptable Work Practices, Cultural requirements and environmental hazards. • Mentoring of School based Building Programs and Apprenticeships within our Company has been very rewarding with two of our Apprentices achieving the top distinction in their relevant years. B.I.G Carpentry Pty Ltd was established in the Gove region area in 1995 and carry a strong belief that the youth of the town are our future.
